Mrs.B finally joined the closet

Say Hello to Mrs. 30cm Fuschia Chevre Coromandel Birkin with palladium hardware!
I know I said I was going for black but after seeing how the closet lacks color I decided to go for Fuschia .. plus, everyone was telling me how the birkin will make me look older, so this is a bit of a young, hip color!

PS: being on Hermes' waiting list for years isn't worth it when you can get an authentic brand new birkin in any color you want from eBay or Malleries in few days! But before you do, just so that you don't get ripped off, make sure you:
1. check the Hermes stamp. The easiest way to distinguish between the authentic and the counterfeit is by looking at the Hermes stamp. The counterfeit has messy letters while the authentic one is neat and even.
2. check the HERMES PARIS engraving on the hardware. The authentic one has fine engraving while the counterfeit has a bold one!
3. check the shape! the authentic birkin is inshape and brusque on the sides while the counterfeit is bulgy and weird looking ..

If you decided to buy a birkin online and aren't sure of it's authenticity, you can either post it on purseblog.com/forum or send me the link on mawzah@gmail.com and I can easily tell whether it's authentic or not..

Fashion Regrets!

Looking back at my pictures from the past years brought up some giggles and “what the hell was I thinking?” mixed with loud laughter over and over again. When I tell some of my friends that I’ve once had this Gothic-y look sometime back in high school they go like NO WAY! (You, yourself, just gasped! I heard it!)
Not just that! I tried a lot of trends and the worst was turning into a total punk who wears nothing but skulls and dark eye makeup! You don’t believe me? I don’t expect you to since people I see almost every day thought I was exaggerating until I shock them with some photos!
Remember the “Live Strong” rubber bracelets? Sometime during my teenage years I used to wear them as Indians wear golden bangles! A lot of them in one hand!
I used to wear fingerless net gloves for fashion’s sake! & a lot of times I’ve been exceedingly matchy-matchy!
OMG! I seriously feel like I’m talking about a different person since my style currently is more feminine, classic, and refined. Why did I do that?
Oh Gosh! High school seems like it ended (thank god) ages ago and that horrible style had ended with it!
There is probably no way to justify my past fashion mess (which used to be a wow factor during that period) but let me say something. As a teenager you wanna try everything. Every style or trend that embarks between girls your age, you just wanna take the risk and try it! Until you grow up and settle on a style that defines you and your personality; that of course is by the time you enter college. So perhaps any “fashion faux pas” you’ve had before the age of 18 doesn’t count.
It was utterly true when Coco Chanel pointed out: Fashion fades; only style remains the same!
Fashion fades, trends die, and the only thing that remains the same is you and your personal style along with a bunch of photos which a little bit over time you’ll be laughing your ass out at!


PS: that’s just a random thought I wanted to blog about since I couldn’t sleep.
Panic-attack probably? I have a final exam tomorrow!
